Jeffrey Fraley, CFSP, CCO, CPC (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Certified Crematory Operator, Certified Preplanning Consultant) is a 1997 Honors Graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with an Associates Degree in Funeral Service Arts and Science. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in West Virginia and is licensed to sell preneed funerals. He is married to the former Angela Riggleman and they have two children, Zoe and Quincy (Clarissa). They are all members of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church where Jeff is an inactive Elder and Deacon.
Jeff is a Past President and member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company, the Past Chairman of the Moorefield Planning Commission, and the Past President and member of the Board of Directors of Grant Memorial Hospice. He is a veteran of the US Coast Guard, a Life Member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W.; a Life Member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion and a Life Member of the Hardy County Voiture #1623, 40 & 8.
He is a past President of the WV Funeral Directors Association Board of Directors and the WV Preneed Funeral Trust Board of Directors. He has served as the Policy Board Representative for West Virginia on the National Funeral Directors Association's National Policy Board.
J. Thomas Fraley, was a 1960 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Embalming and was a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in West Virginia. He has left behind his wife, Pattie Applegate; his five children; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Tom was a past member of the LIONS Club, a past Mayor of Moorefield, and an Honorary member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company.
Angie is the wife of Jeffrey A. Fraley and the mother of Zoe & Quincy. She assists with the day-to-day operations of the business and assists with the production of the video tributes used by the funeral home. She also is overseeing the new Laser Engraving Operations at the funeral home.
Loring started his funeral directing career at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV, and has worked in the Welch, Grafton, and finally in the Elkins area at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home where he retired in 1997. Loring left us in December 2023 and will be always have a place in our hearts as a compassionate person.
This is our newest employee of the funeral home Isabella Mia of Barefoot Scout, ie "Mia" who is our resident Therapy Dog. Mia joins us from Gallipolis, OH where she had 10 brothers and sisters. She enjoys the snow, treats, and visiting with everyone. She visits students in Grant County schools and attended schools in Winchester, VA, and Manassas, VA herself, in order to receive her certification. On August 16, 2020, Mia was certified despite the several months of delay due to COVID-19 as a K-9 Caring Angels Certified Therapy Dog.
We hope to have Mia visiting anyone who requests a visit but all are welcome to stop by and see Mia as she is at work almost every day.
