Wilma Mary Crites

Wilma Mary Newhouse Crites, age 89 of Cardinal Lane, Rig, WV passed away Wednesday evening, April 3, 2019 at her residence with her family at her side. Born on March 20, 1930 at Rig, WV she was a daughter of the late Oliver S. Newhouse and Mollie Etta Eye Newhouse. Her brother, Norman Newhouse in addition to her parents also preceded her in death. Mary was a loving mother and homemaker who loved sewing, cooking and canning, especially pickles and jelly.

Surviving are two daughters, Terri (husband Brad) Taylor of Petersburg, WV and Tammy (husband Craig) Crites of Fisher, WV; a son, Bradley Crites of Rig, WV; two grandsons, Adam (wife Alicia) Crites of Rio, WV and Aaron (wife Rebecca) Crites of Fisher, WV; a granddaughter, Emily (husband Jake) Phillips of Queenstown, MD; four great grandchildren, Brantley & Tatum Crites of Rio, WV and Allie & Macie Crites of Fisher, WV and her friends/caregivers, Winnie Helmick and Wendy DeiCas.

Graveside Services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Crites-Eye Cemetery, Rig, WV with Pastor Brad Taylor officiant. Interment will follow. Mary’s wishes were not to have a traditional service however the family will receive friends at the Rig Assembly of God Church Fellowship Hall following services.
