William John Wills

William John “Bill” Wills, age 51 of Maple Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, February 26, 2020, at his residence with his family at his side. Born on November 15, 1968, in Manassas, VA, he was a son of Shirley Marie Vance Wills of Petersburg, WV, and the late Henry John Wills, Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Brian J. Wills and a sister, April D. Wills.

Bill was a 1986 graduate of Petersburg High School and a member of Site’s Chapel United Methodist Church but attended Moorefield Church of God. Having been an over the road driver for many years, Bill loved to eat out often. His idle time he spent working on old cars, sitting by the river, just being outdoors. His gentleness was often seen in his care for animals, taking in that stray, giving it a home. His family was important to him and he always loved family get togethers.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife Holly Denise Ketterman Barger Wills; two stepsons, Brandon Barger, II and Isaac Barger of Fisher, WV; a nephew, Rocky “Kendall” Barnes and a niece, Katelynn Wills.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Doug Bowers officiant. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (noon) until time of services at 2:00 PM.
