William Douglas Doug Riggleman, age 67 of Frosty Hollow Road, Fisher, WV, passed away Monday morning, October 10, 2016 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born July 23, 1949 in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late William Heiskell Riggleman and Sarah Catherine (Kuykendall) Riggleman Harris and a step-son of the late Nina Barbara (Polk) Riggleman. A daughter Becky and a sister Sharon preceded him in death. A carpenter by trade, he was a craftsman who enjoyed making and building things, a collector who had a train set that filled an entire room; and he enjoyed the outside, especially fishing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era, was a Life Member of both the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion and the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W. Surviving are three sons, William D. Riggleman, II of Purgitsville, WV, T.J. Baker of Fisher, WV and Wilby Cook of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Carrie Bland of Woodstock, VA and Maria Riggleman of Purgitsville, WV; four sisters, Janice Piper of Hanover, PA, Roxanne Anderson of Westminster, MD, Judy Harris of Westminster, MD and Christine Mann of Westminster, MD; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Doyle Patch officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army at the Kessel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
