William Wayne Coby, age 81 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, May 18, 2011 at his residence. Born October 22, 1929 at Rig, WV he was the son of the late Charles E. & Campsie Dell (Carpenter) Coby. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the John M Golliday Post #64 American Legion and a member of the Potomac Valley Men?s Choir. He was a retired mechanic having been employed over the years by: Martin Co., Rockingham Poultry, Kessel Lumber Co., BarLo Ford and Sherman?s Machine Shop. Two sisters and ten brothers preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of almost 50 years, Ethel (Snyder) Coby; three sons, Charles (wife Karen) Coby, Donnie (wife Joy) Coby & Mike (wife Chantel) Coby of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Karen (husband Tim) Malcolm of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Mildred Vanfleet of Baltimore, MD; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St, with Pastors Becky Bennett & Harold George officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the US Army at Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 7 ? 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
