Wendell Sherman Tanner, Sr.

Wendell Sherman Tanner, Sr. age 67 of Caledonia Ave., Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday afternoon, March 24, 2008 at his residence. Born June 7, 1940 in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late Clifton & Florence K. (Sherman) Tanner. He was preceded in death by a brother. He was a member of Local 70, I.B.E.W. Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Polly (Southerly) Tanner; two sons, Wendell ?Sonny? Tanner, Jr. & Todd Tanner of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Tamara Carr of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Janet Hanson & Wilda Scates of Morristown, TN; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home with Rick Bergdoll & Reggie Goldizen officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 PM Wednesday; the family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
