Ward Alston Malcolm

Ward Alston Malcolm, age 81 of S. Main St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, January 3, 2006 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born June 23, 1924 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of the late Boyd & Carrie (Funkhouser) Malcolm. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the John M. Goliday Post# 64, American Legion & the Denney-Moyers-Pratt, Post# 9606 V.F.W. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Genevieve (Wolfe) Malcolm; two sons, Ward A. Malcolm II & Tim Malcolm of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Jennie Eaton of Harpers Ferry, WV and Barbara Eaton of Medley, WV; six granddaughters and three great-granddaughters. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with the officiating. Private Interment will be in the Malcolm Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Thursday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. A Veteran?s Memorial Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Charity of Choice.
