Wandalee Calhoun Poling

Wandalee Calhoun Poling, age 92 of Raines Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, April 28, 2016 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born August 20, 1923 in Whitmer, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Carlton Calhoun and Delphia Calhoun. Her husband, Felix G. Poling preceded her in death in June 2013. A daughter, Debby Guesford preceded her in death in April 2007. Three brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church. A homemaker who loved cats, she enjoyed keeping a cozy home for her husband and daughter, enjoyed cooking for her family, especially for picnics in the summer. She was a retired sales clerk having been employed over the years at Ben Franklin, Fishers Market and Beans Hardware. Surviving are nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers for the tireless and loving care they provided. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with the Rev. Jeff Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
