Walter Shotwell Bellis,

Walter Shotwell Bellis, 3rd, age 72 of Laurel St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, September 7, 2008 at his residence. Born April 2, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, he is a son of Catherine Bellis of Catonsville, MD and the late Walter S. Bellis, Jr. He was a US Army veteran and was a retired minister for the Church of God. A sister, Mary King, two nieces, a great-nephew and a brother-in-law preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Margel (Hose) Bellis; a daughter, Donna & Brian Weberg of Hartford, MI; three grandchildren, Krystin, Kailee & Kara Weberg of Hartford, MI; two brothers, Timothy & Nancy Bellis of Catonsville, MD & Edward & Kathy Bellis - Glen Burnie, MD; four sisters, Catherine Gearhart of Elkridge, MD, Rebecca & Kit Valentine of Catonsville, MD, Deborah & Larry Rinker of Arnold, MD, Jane Ayres of Worton, MD, two brothers-in-law, Rodney Hose & Layman Hose of Moorefield, WV and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hose, Pilot Mountain, NC; nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Moorefield Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Frank Myers & Rev. Paul Horton officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 -8 PM Tuesday at Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St. Mr. Bellis will be taken to the church 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be: Edward Bellis, Kit Valentine, Brian Weberg, Rodney Hose, Overton Hose and Jake Pratt. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Bellis. Memorials may de directed to the family at 105 Laurel Street.
