Virginia Lee Garrett

Virginia Lee Garrett, age 88 of Lilac Drive, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, May 5, 2007 at her residence. Born October 7, 1918 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late O.A. & Martha E. (Affleck) Leatherman. She was a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of numerous circles. She was a graduate of Potomac State College and worked as a secretary for several years. Her husband, Theodore A. Garrett preceded her in death in June 1992. A brother, Carl Leatherman also preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Teddy Garrett and wife Susan of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Donna Vance and husband Doug of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Harlan Leatherman of Wardensville, WV & Paul Leatherman of Old Fields, WV; four sisters, Ava Aylor of Wardensville, WV, Elda Painter, Neva Poling & Mary Walters of Moorefield, WV; three granddaughters and two grandsons. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Craft & Rev. Ted Osgood officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Monday at the Fraley Funeral Home. Mrs. Garrett will be taken to the church 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday.
