Tommie Lemuel Crites, age 72 of Rig, WV passed away Monday evening, April 11, 2005 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born June 23, 1932 in Rig, WV, he was the son of the late Lemuel S. & Ada (Baldwin) Crites. He was a member of the Rig Assembly of God Church and a member of the National Jousting Hall of Fame. He was a self employed owner/operator of Tommy Crites & Sons Trucking. He was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (Shreve) Crites; two sons, Tommie Crites and wife Debbie of Moorefield, WV and Terry A. Crites and wife Tonia of Rig, WV; two daughters, Carolyn Crites and Eddie Reel of Petersburg, WV and Kitty Hose and husband Bobby of Old Fields, WV; a special nephew, Gerald A. Crites and wife Chris of Petersburg, WV; four brothers, Lucky Crites, Jackie Crites and Bobby Crites all of Rig, WV and Roger Crites of Springfield, KY; four sisters, Delphia Ours of Moorefield, WV, Mary Pratt of Old Fields, WV, Betty Crites of Rig, WV and Josephine Crites of Kessel, WV; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Rig Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Taylor and Wade Armentrout officiating. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery at Rig, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield.
