Terry Grant Gaynor, age 72 of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, July 21, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born January 26, 1942 in Richwood, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Milton Gaynor and Nannie Marie (Long) Gaynor. A veteran of the US Army, Navy and Air Force, he was Past Commander and is a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. He was a past Superintendent of the South Branch Valley Railroad and a member of the Moorefield Lodge # 29 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Jeanne (Waite) Gaynor; a son, Scott Conner of Hackettstown, NJ; five daughters, Kimberly Gaynor of Scranton, PA, Sheri Shumaker of Edenton, NC, Teresa Cliborne of Amelia, VA, Teresa Gaynor of Moorefield, WV and Brandi Gaynor of Moorefield, WV; three brothers, Larry Gaynor of Dunbar, WV, Coy Gaynor of Dunbar, WV and Bill Gaynor of Daytona, FL; two sisters, Janet Tinney of Richwood, WV and Tammy Meadows of Clendenin, WV; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Steve Snyder officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 4 6 PM at the funeral home.
