Shirley Marie Hose

Shirley Marie Hose, age 89 of Powder Spring Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2016 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born January 29, 1927 in Hardy Co., WV, she was a daughter of the late Abraham Jackson Fitzwater and Mary Catherine Whetzel Fitzwater. She had retired in 1992 from the American Woodmark Corporation after 31 years. Her husband, Ernest B. Hose preceded her in death in July 1999. A daughter, Sharon C. Thompson, five brothers, Noah, Johnny, Russell, Calvin & Pete and four sisters, Nina, Naomi, Nellie and Susan also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Ernest Mike Hose & Gerald Snow Hose of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Patricia & David Shirk of Petersburg, WV; a sister, Maxine & Richard Bissell of Petersburg, WV; two nephews she helped raise, Bobby & Andy; six grandchildren, Misty & Jerry Timbrook of Shanks, WV, Danita & Jimmie Bothwell of Moorefield, WV, Jeffrey Shirk of Elkins, WV, Stephen Shirk of Petersburg, WV, Brandon Hose & Gerica Hose of Mooreifeld, WV and five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Darian, Erika, Serenity and Kendel. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Dan Sterns officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
