Sharon Lee Eye

Sharon Lee Eye, age 72 of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. Born on December 12, 1948, in Dearborn, MI, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Karl Braunschweiger and Jacqueline Frances Smith Braunscheiger. She was a graduate of Utica High School, Utica, MI.

Surviving is her husband of 53 ½ years, Richard Wayne Eye; a son, Frederick M. Eye of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Christina M. Eye of Moorefield, WV and Nicol L. Eye of Martinsburg, WV; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Christine (Dennis) Hall of DeLand, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a retired Day Care Provider who enjoyed babysitting her own grandchildren as well. She enjoyed family time including cooking and canning for them. She enjoyed motorcycle rides until she was unable and had recently started to enjoy camping again. Her idle time was spent sewing, working crossword puzzles, and reading. She also loved playing cards and dominos with family and friends. She always enjoyed the company of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Wade Armentrout officiant. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until time of services.

Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
