Ruth Amanda Arbogast

Ruth Amanda Arbogast, age 81 of Romney, WV and formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday evening, September 21, 2003 at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV. Born September 9, 1922 in Parkersburg, WV she was a daughter of the late James O. Flinn, Sr. and Hannah Marie (Toomey) Flinn. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Thorne in 1968 and her second husband Russell Arbogast in 1984. Three brothers, two sisters, a granddaughter and a stepson also preceded her in death. She was a past member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #102. Surviving are two sons, Denton Thorne of Romney, WV and Gary Thorne of York, PA; two stepsons, Larry Arbogast of Orange, VA and Jim Arbogast of Berkeley Springs, WV; a daughter, Linda Saville of Augusta, WV; a stepdaughter, Pam Williams of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Don Clark officiating. Interment followed at the Olivet Cemetery.
