Roxie Marze Miller

Roxie Miller, age 82 of Central Ave., Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, August 25, 2005 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born February 24, 1923 in Toro, LA she was the daughter of the late James D. & Odessa (Miers) Marze. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren for over 55 years and was the Hardy County Belle in 1996. Her husband, Walter ?Buck? Miller preceded her in death in October 1997. Two sisters and a brother also preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, Jimmy Miller of Moorefield, WV, Benny Miller of Rig, WV, Greg Miller of Winchester, VA and Tim Miller of Louisa, VA; a daughter, Ruth A. Mott of Dorcas, WV; two brothers, Archie Marze of Humble, TX and Alvin Marze of Cleveland, TX; six sisters, Sadie Bowman of West Lake, LA, Carol Ann Bowman of Lake Charles, LA, Armeda Taylor of Amacocoa, LA, Alma Erwin, Celesta Terell & Isabelle Eaves of Merryville, LA; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2005 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren with Pastors Harold Garber & Hoy Lambert officiating. Inurnment will be at Olivet Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time of services. Mrs. Miller has been cremated.
