Roger William Shook, Sr.

Roger William Shook, Sr. age 61 of Dorcas, WV, formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, October 2, 2005 at his residence. Born January 12, 1944 in Hardy Co., WV he was the son of Elsie L. (See) Shook of Moorefield, WV and the late Floyd W. Shook. A veteran of the US Marine Corps of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W. and the John M. Golliday Post# 64 American Legion. A sister preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Sandy (Riggleman) Shook; a son, Roger Shook, Jr. and wife Rene of Sterling , VA; a daughter, Amanda Mongold and husband Wes of Moorefield, WV; five brothers, Steve Shook of Mesa, AZ, Clyde Shook of Moorefield, Leroy Shook of Moorefield, Dwight Shook of Inwood, WV & Anthony Shook of Petersburg, WV; three sisters, Wanda Toney of Sandston, VA, Mitzi Shook of Moorefield, WV & Vivian Shook of Sandston, VA and five grandsons, Justin, Scotty, Alex, Jacob & Cody. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Steve Davis officaiting. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to services. A Veteran?s Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday. After the funeral service and by his request, Mr. Shook will be cremated. Inurnment will be at a later late.
