Roger K. King, age 65 of Richmond, VA passed away Saturday, October 19, 2002. Born August 30, 1937 in Petersburg, WV, a son of V. May King of Petersburg, WV; and the late Ralph C. King; he is survived by his daughter, Rhonda K. VanHuss and her husband Brian, two grandchildren, W. Kent VanHuss and Nathaniel M. VanHuss of Richmond, VA and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Linda Weese King, in March 1994. A graduate of Fairmont State College, he retired from Reynolds Metal in 1995 after a long career in plant operations and management. He proudly served in the US Air Force as a medic during the Korean War and the Air Reserves. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church of Richmond, a member of the Petersburg Lodge #145 A.F. & A.M., The Scottish Rite bodies, the ACCA Temple Shrine and the American Legion. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at the Woody Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at the Third Presbyterian Church. Graveside Services were conducted Thursday at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield where Military Graveside Rites were accorded by the US Air Force and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard and Masonic Graveside Rites were accorded by the Petersburg Lodge #145 AF & AM.
