Robert Roy Zuber, age 48 of South Elm Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, February 7, 2017 at his residence. Born on April 20, 1968 in Winchester, VA, he was a son of Lawrence McDonald Zuber of Moorefield, WV and the late Marsha Lynn (Arnold) Zuber. He was the Assistant Public Works Director for the Town of Moorefield and a member of the Moorefield Lodge # 29 A.F. & A.M. Rob was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting with the orchard gang, deep sea fishing off of Hatteras, NC, woodworking and building. He was a Civil War Buff who enjoyed metal detecting for artifacts and once belonged to the McNeill Rangers. He was a past member and EMT for Fraley Ambulance Service with over 20 years service to the community at large. Surviving is his wife, Carol Sue (Shockey) Zuber, a brother, Eric Bink & Rona Zuber of Old Fields, WV a niece, Taylor Zuber; his father and companion, Lawrence M. Zuber and Maxine Halterman and his other brother, Tim & Diana Thorne of Moorefield, WV, as well as numerous friends. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating. Interment will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites accorded by the Moorefield Lodge # 29 A.F. & A.M. at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 3 & 5 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
