Robert Leroy Evans

Robert Leroy "Bob" Evans, GYSGT USMC, age 68 of Canton, GA passed peacefully in his sleep on July 29, 2020, at his residence. Born on August 29, 1951, in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late Aubrey Eugene "Gene" Evans & Mabel Virginia Ours Evans.  Bob was retired from the US Marine Corp after serving 23 years from 1970 to 1993, where he worked in Aviation Supply.  His daughter Kim stated, "Dad was charming, funny, an epic storyteller, selfless, and a very very good man".

Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly & Christina; a son Rocky (Angela) and a grandson Garrett; and his former wife Teresa Evans. Also surviving are five brothers; Larry (Barb) Ours of Moorefield, WV; Doug (Sandy) Evans of Rockwall, TX; Stan Evans of Tampa, FL; Don (Susan) Evans of Moorefield, WV; & Dennis (Lori) Evans of Moorefield, WV; along with numerous nieces & nephews.

At his request, he has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
