Riley Hambleton

Riley Irvin Hambleton, age 88 of W. Brighton Ave., Moorefield, WV passed away Wednesday afternoon September 4, 2002 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born February 19, 1914 in Hardy Co., WV he was a son of the late Monroe & Lula (Dellinger) Hambleton. Riley was a retired plumber and was a US Army veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers & 1 Sister. He is survived by brothers, Adrian Hambleton, Sr. of Moorefield, WV and John Hambleton of Winchester, VA; sisters, Molly Thorne of Old Fields, WV and Ruby Kuykendall of Moorefield, WV and Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services were conducted Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Rev. Harold Garber officiating. Interment followed at the Olivet Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites were accorded by the US Army & the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard.
