Richard Glenn Davy

Richard Glenn Davy, age 79 of Dover Hollow Rd, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. Born April 17, 1930 in Hampshire Co., WV, he was the son of the late Samuel Leroy & Anna Nathelene (Harrison) Davy. He was a US Army veteran and had retired from the American Woodmark Corp. His wife, Ruth Elizabeth (Cook) Davy preceded him in death in December 1978. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. Surviving is a step-son, Michael Davy of Moorefield, WV; two brothers; Robert E. Davy & Earl A. Davy of Purgitsville, WV, five sisters; Beverley Davy, Dorothy Davey & Wanda Helman of Purgitsville, WV, E. Louise Liller of Old Fields, WV and Bertha N. High of Winchester, VA; three step grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor J. Robert Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 -6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
