Rama Ida Wolfe

Rama Ida Wolfe, age 86 of Cherry Tree Lane, Old Fields, WV, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 7, 2019 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on April 7, 1932 in Hardy County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ritchel Scott Kessel and Effie Lee Bosley Kessel. She was preceded in death by a brother, Overton Kessel, and sisters, Kathleen Miller, Betty Helmick and Genevieve Southerly.

She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed reading especially romance novels and crocheted many afghans and doilies. She was a walker always enjoying nature and loved traveling to the beach especially Florida. Her favorite pastime was shopping at Tony’s Flea Market.

Surviving is a daughter, Lorraine (David) Stephens of Oakland, MD; a son, Ernest Eugene (Debbie) Wolfe of Old Fields, WV; two sisters, Phyllis Hose of Moorefield, WV and Velda Virginia Wolfe of Old Fields, WV; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Donnie Knotts officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV. The family will receive friends from 4 -7 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
