Ralph Vincent Pratt

Ralph Vincent ?Skin? Pratt, age 79 of Moorefield, WV passed away Friday morning, October 17, 2003 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born August 27, 1924 in Hardy Co., WV he was a son of the late Edwin M. & Jemima Susan (Veach) Pratt. He was a member of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was a member of the MHS 1942 undefeated football team. He was a veteran of the US Army of WWII; a graduate of Potomac State College and West Virginia University and had attended Maryland University Graduate School. He retired from the A.S.C.S. in 1986 and his lifelong interests were agriculture and purebred Angus cattle. Surviving is his wife; Anna Dare (Wilson) Pratt; three sons; John Pratt and Frank Pratt of Moorefield and Scott Pratt of Athens, GA; two daughters, Susan Halterman of Petersburg, WV and Linda Pratt of Winchester, VA; a sister, Dorothy Alvey of New Market, VA; five half-brothers, Gerald Pratt, Murphy Pratt, Chester Pratt, Edwin Pratt and Raymond Pratt all of Moorefield; a half sister, Janet Bosley of Moorefield and seven grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Monday, October 20, 2003 at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Pastor Braxton Garriss officiating. Interment followed with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery.
