Pearl Marie Shockey

Pearl Marie Shockey, age 73 of S. Elm Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side. Born April 4, 1939 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Fonnie & Pearl (Cassel) Crawford. A homemaker, she was active in her church, Moorefield Church of Christ and 4-H where she served as a 4-H Leader and was a 4-H All-Star. She provided childcare for many children in her home for over 55 years. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Darrell W. Shockey; a daughter, Carol S. Zuber (husband Rob) of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Joan Anderson (husband Richard) and Ila Ryan (husband Arnold) all of Wardensville, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Minister Jon Leininger officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
