Pauline Cathern Ketterman, age 84 of Jenkins Run Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2017 at the residence of her daughter. Born on June 16, 1933, in Grant COunty, WV, she was a daughter of the late Curry David Doc Thorne and Bertha May Hinkle Thorne. Her husband of almost 60 years, Oscar L. Ketterman preceded her in death in February 2012. A son-in-law, Jim Wright and a brother, Richard Thorne also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Bakers Chapel United Methodist Church, retired from American Woodmark in 1999 after 30+ years and was a past member of the Durgon CEOS. Pauline was known for her sewing abilities as she often would be seen at craft fairs selling her creations. She enjoyed gardening and canning her harvest. Her cooking and baking were often described as generous as she did both with love. She and her husband with the family in the earlier days would enjoy country outings especially to the Amish area near Oakland so she could purchase material and bulk foods for cooking. Some Sundays were just for visiting family and friends, just to catch up. Surviving is a daughter, Peggi Wright of Moorefield, WV; a son, Frank & Marina Ketterman of Berwyn, PA; three grandchildren, Jared Wright of Moorefield, WV, Jordon Wright of Morgantown, WV and Mariah Ketterman of Berwyn, PA; two sisters, Betty Courtney of Bumpass, VA and Mary Alexander of Keyser, WV and a brother, Andrew Thorne of Louisville, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Dan Sterns and Harold George officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
