Paula Mae McDonald, age 70 of Old Fields, WV passed away Sunday morning, February 12, 2023 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on April 28, 1952 in Great Falls, Montana, she was a daughter of the late James Brown Hedrick and Dorothy May Sions Hedrick.
Paula enjoyed traveling in the area to play Bingo or just traveling around. The afternoons were reserved for her daily soap opera fix, so you would not want to bother her that time of day. She enjoyed cooking but enjoyed eating as well and considered herself a “foody”. On a lighter side, she was the jokester of the family and enjoyed harmless picking on family members. Paula was a very loving and caring woman to everyone that she came in contact with.
Surviving are three sons, Steven R. Delawder of Old Fields, WV, James D. “Danny” Hedrick of Petersburg, WV and Rodney D. Hedrick of Petersburg, WV; a daughter, Monica Stickley of Purgitsville, WV; a brother, Dean Hedrick of Fairmont, WV; two sisters, Janet Feaster of Petersburg, WV and Jamie Vetter of Moorefield, WV; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Rev's. Jack and Tammy Turner officiant. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of services.
Memorials may be directed to the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Co-46, 114 Kuykendall Lane, Moorefield, WV 26836.
