Paul "Toad" Edsel Funkhouser

Paul E. ?Toad? Funkhouser, age 72 of First Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born May 16, 1932 in Moorefield, WV, he was a son of the late Roy S. & Elizabeth H. (Pennington) Funkhouser. Paul was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death, as he was the last member of his immediate family. Surviving is his wife, Mildred (Miller) Funkhouser; five daughters, Jackie Ryan of Alexandria, VA, JoEllen Reynolds of Alexandria, VA, Jill Seal of Amosville, VA, Jammie O?Neill of Moorefield, WV and Nancy Vetter of Moorefield, WV and seven grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Interment followed with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army and the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. A Veteran?s Memorial Service was held Monday at the funeral home.
