Paul Dean Smith

Paul Dean Smith, age 81 of Cherry Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday morning, January 15, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. Born October 22, 1934 in Old Fields, WV, he was the son of the late Aaron Blane Smith and Bessie Alma (Kessel) Smith. He was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters and was the last member of his immediate family. A farmer for most of his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as training rabbit dogs. He loved to garden with his wife and spend time caring for his animals and he loved and adored his family. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann (Crites) Smith; a son Timothy Paul Smith (Bonnie) of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Shirley Lynn Smith of Moorefield, WV and Debbie Kay Sites (Christopher) of Old Fields, WV; four grandchildren, C.J. Sites, Lucas Smith, Brooke Smith and Tonya Sites and two great-grandchildren, Kaneisha & Destiny. Private Services will be held at a later date.
