Paul Allen Hinkle, age 69 of Three Maple Drive, Mathias, WV, passed away Sunday evening, November 9, 2014 at his residence. Born February 2, 1945 in Rig, WV, he was the son of the late Harold Glenn Hinkle and Mary Etta (Rumer) Hinkle. Two brothers, Courtney W. Hinkle and Leonard H. Hinkle and a nephew, Dirk H. Hinkle also preceded him in death. He was a US Army Veteran of the 18th Engineer Brigade during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion and the Denny-Moyers-Pratt, Post #9606 V.F.W. He was a member of the Dorcas Baptist church and attended the Believers Victory Center. Surviving is his wife, Pamela Jackson Hinkle, a daughter, Brigitte Hinkle-van Pelt and her husband, Jeroen van Pelt of Breda, the Netherlands, a son, Shane A. Hinkle of Springfield, VA; three grandchildren, Presley Hinkle of Springfield, VA, Max van Pelt & Ana van Pelt of the Netherlands; a brother, Roger Hinkle of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Eleanor Brantley of Moorefield, WV and a niece, Holly Hinkle. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Wings of Freedom Cemetery, Three Maple Drive, Mathias, WV with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 5 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
