Patricia Ann Wyman, age 78 of Moorefield, WV, entered into God’s presence Monday morning, February 8, 2021, after battling Chronic Kidney Disease. She was in her home surrounded by her family. Born on July 27, 1942 in Petersburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Cunningham Iman and Jessie Lena Irene Crites Iman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Hope Ann; and siblings, Susan, Reginald “Butch”, Joan, Peggy, Nancy and James.
She attended Forman School of Lahmansville, Petersburg Elementary and School Thirty-Three, Francis Scott Key and Southern High School, all in Baltimore. She completed her GED at the South Branch Vocational Center and continued her education earning college credits from Shepherd University.
Patricia dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was devoted to the Salvation Army Church, where she served as a youth leader. She hosted many youths in her home and would cook two to three meals to please everyone. Her door was always open, as well as her heart and arms. When she was not filling her home with warmth, love and cooking meals for everyone, she could be found at the church. Presently she is a member of Old Fields Baptist Church and her family and friends will miss her greatly.
Surviving is her husband, Earl John Wyman, Jr.; seven children, Robin (Sam) Berry of Peach Bottom, PA, Lisa (Michael) Shaffer of Lahmansville, WV, Jane (Gary, Sr.) Shirk of Moorefield, WV, Angel Hinger (Curtis) of Purgitsville, WV, Pauline Vance (Tyrone) of Moorefield, WV, Earl Wyman, III (Marina) of Moorefield, WV and Arthur (Andrea) Wyman of Moorefield, WV; eighteen grandchildren, Brandy, Loran, Christopher, Rebekah (Troy), Rachel (Wilfredo), Samuel, Gary, Jr. (Monica), Benjamin, Nathan, Kennedie, Chase, Teia, Destine, E.J., IV, Jesse, Alexandria, Aleigha and Allie; step-grandchildren, Chucky and Amanda; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold E. (Pauline) Iman of Pasadena, MD; a brother-in-law, Robert Feaster of Martinsburg, WV and also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Family came second, only to God, a value she instilled in all those blessed to have known her.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Dan Howard officiating. Interment will follow at the Lahmansville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, wearing of masks, temperature checks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home at all times.
