Orville Daniel Eye

Orville Daniel Eye, age 87 of Shockey Road, Old Fields, WV, passed away Wednesday evening at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born October 28, 1920 in Hardy County, WV, he was the son of the late Seymour E. & Edith (Hardy) Eye. He was a member of the Old Fields Baptist Church, a US Army veteran of WWII, and a past member of the American Legion & V.F.W. His wife, Otaka Ada (Smith) Eye preceded him in death in April 1976. A daughter and two brothers also preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, Orville A. Eye of Old Fields, WV, Danny Eye of Fisher, WV and Curtis Eye of Moorefield, WV; a brother, ?Bud? Eye of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Louise ?Sis? Eye of Moorefield, WV; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Dan Howard officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Saturday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
