Olivia Dale Hefner

Olivia Dale Hefner, age 87 of Morningside Drive, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday morning May 10, 2016 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born January 24, 1929 in Purgitsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Will George and Daisy Brown George. She was a Charter Member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and had retired from Hester Industries after 40+ years. A quiet lady who enjoyed walking and loved reading, she had an infinite affection for her cats. Her husband, James Robert Hefner preceded her in death in August 2004. Two brothers, Delbert and Thurman also preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Robert & Debbie Hefner of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Pearl Evans of Maysville, WV; a granddaughter, Allison & Hunter Mongold of Inwood, WV and a great-granddaughter, Danica Mongold. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Minister Jon Leininger officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
