Noah Melvin Fitzwater

Noah Melvin ?Nodie? Fitzwater, age 95 of Dover Hollow Rd, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, February 19, 2007 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born July 8, 1911 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of the late Abraham J. & Mary C. (Whetzel) Fitzwater. Nodie was a retired butcher for Hawse Shop-N-Save and was a lifelong member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah (Cook) Fitzwater, his second wife Ruth (Wilson) Saville Fitzwater, a son, a grandson, four sisters and five brothers. Surviving is a son, Darwin Fitzwater of Moorefield, WV; a step-son, Randy Saville of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Shirley Hose & Maxine Shrout of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, east of Moorefield, with Pastor Don Knotts officiating. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Thursday at the Fraley Funeral Home. Mr. Fitzwater will be taken to the church 1 hour prior to services on Friday.
