Nellie Lossen Weatherholtz

Nellie Lossen Weatherholtz, age 93 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday evening, April 5, 2008 at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born September 27, 1914 on Orr?s Mountain near Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy Gipson Riggleman & Mary Susan (Simmons) Riggleman. She was the second of twelve children. On October 21, 1935 she married David Arwood Weatherholtz in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1981. A great grandson, two sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are her six children, Donald A. Weatherholtz of San Diego, CA, Betty Jackson of Dunkirk, MD, Helen Chesser of Brandon, FL, Virginia Turner of Millersville, MD, Patsy Gardner of Sterling, VA & Shirley Saphos of Fredericksburg, VA; twelve grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Irene Iman & Mary Ellen Mauzy of Petersburg, WV and Vista Eskridge & Dixie Mauzy of Winchester, VA; and two brothers, Glen Riggleman of Westernport, MD & Roy Riggleman, Jr. of Petersburg, WV. Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Steve Saphos & Nick Yurcaba officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 8:00 AM and the family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
