Nannie Lee Helmick

Nannie Lee Whetzel Helmick, age 95 of Moorefield, WV, went home to our Lord this day Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born September 22, 1913 in Moorefield, WV she was a daughter of the late James R. & Pamie (Lewis) Whetzel. Her husband, Arnold L. Helmick preceded her in death in February 1992. A daughter, a grandson, two sisters, three brothers and a niece also preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Olen Ray (Becky) Helmick of Fredricksburg, VA and W. ?Bill? Helmick & Michael ?Mike? (Debra) Helmick of Moorefield; five daughters, Mildred ?Millie? Helmick Shockey & Elaine Helmick Johnston of Moorefield, WV, Bonnie Helmick (Everette) Mersing of Albright, WV, Linda Helmick (W.R.) Austin of Elkins, WV & Loretta Helmick of Ridgely, WV; a brother, Virgil (Sally) Whetzel of Miami, FL; 21 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Katherine C. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Monday.
