Nancy May Whetzel

Nancy May Whetzel, age 60 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, February 1, 2006, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born September 19, 1945 in Old Fields, WV, she was the daughter of the late Seymour & Nellie (Shoemaker) Shockey. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sons and a granddaughter. Surviving is her husband, John R. Whetzel; two sons, Landon Steward & Jason Whetzel of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Vickie Harvey & Tondia Whetstone of Moorefield, WV; five brothers, Roy Shockey & Jerry Shockey of Old Fields, WV, Raymond Shockey of Moorefield, WV, Boyd Shockey of Brandywine, WV and Daniel Shockey of Roanoke, VA; a sister, Alice Shingleton of Old Fields, WV; fifteen grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Friday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
