Nancy Louise Ferebee, age 81 of Falls Church, VA formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence. Born on June 27, 1943, in Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Carl Brooks Lowe and Eva Minnie Harman Lowe.
A proud graduate of Moorefield High School and Fairmont State Business School, Nancy dedicated 40 years of her life to serving in the U.S. State Department. She approached her work with grace, commitment, and a well-earned sense of pride. In her retirement, she cherished her time with family, often sharing her love for travel with her devoted husband, Frank Donald Ferebee, to whom she was married for 61 years. Together, they created beautiful memories, exploring the world and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Additionally, she was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, and her spirit shone brightly through her love of music and laughter.
Nancy’s family was the cornerstone of her life, and she relished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; her cherished daughter, Karin Roberts of Norfolk, VA; her precious granddaughters, Kristin Oyangen & Amanda Coshun; and her beloved sisters, Elaine Drewery, Brenda Hueneman, and Janet Wern. Although she was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Histand, and two of her siblings, Nancy's spirit will live on through the love she fostered in her family.
To celebrate Nancy’s life, funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel at 107 Washington Street, with Pastor Brad Taylor officiant. Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00 PM until the time of the service to honor her memory and share their stories. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Newhouse Cemetery on Rig Road.
