Myrtle Rebecca (Turner) Lowe Wolfe, age 82 of Old Fields, WV died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care in Romney, WV. Born July 20, 1925 in Peru, WV, she was a daughter of the late George & Mary Turner. She was the wife of Norman Wolfe whom preceded her in death. Her first husband, Henry Grey Lowe and a daughter, Deborah Lowe, also preceded her in death. Myrtle was no stranger to hard work. As a child she helped her father cut pulpwood so the family could survive. Later, she worked in the shipyards during WWII as a welder. Throughout her life, in many different factories, she worked hard manual labor. She always took pride in being born and raised in West Virginia. She spent the last twenty something years of her life in her beloved West Virginia. Surviving are two sons, John Henry Lowe of Pompano Beach, FL & Jerry Grey Lowe of Towson, MD; three granddaughters, Ms. Margaret Rebecca Lowe of York, PA, Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth (Lowe) Anderson of Milwaukee, WI and Ms. Juliette Christine Lowe of College Park, MD; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Wiley Fields; and two nieces who visited her often; Mrs. Donna Southerly & Ms. Mary Conrad. She also had scores of loving nephews and nieces into four generation that will mourn her passing. A celebration of life will be held beginning at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Friday, November 16 at the Fraley Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care Unit, , Romney, WV 26757.
