'Mick' Zirk

Douglas Michael ?Mick? Zirk, age 59 of Martinsburg, WV formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006 at City Hospital in Martinsburg. Born June 2, 1947 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Marvin S. & Lena B. (Sherman) Zirk. Mick was a past member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company-46 and the Stephens City Volunteer Fire Company for many years and was the owner/operator of Bedington Crossroads. Surviving is his wife, Toni (Finks) Zirk; two daughters, Elyssa Jenkins of Woodstock, VA & Lauren Zirk of Fairmont, WV; a grandson, Hunter Alexander Jenkins and a brother, Jason Zirk of Moorefield, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with the Rev. Patricia Garner officiating. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery with a fireman?s motorcade. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Sunday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. A Memorial Gathering to memorialize Mick will be held Tuesday at the Bedington Ruritan from 2 ? 4 PM. Memorials may be directed to your local fire company in honor of Mick?s commitment to the firefighting service.
