Michael “Mike” Dawn Snyder age 73 of Fisher, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday morning, March 2, 2024., at his residence. He was born September 24, 1951, in Petersburg, WV, to the late Clyde Paxton and Ona Dale Smith Snyder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 3 sisters, two brother in laws and four sisters in laws.
Mike served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Vietnam era; worked as a carpenter in his younger years and built his family home using that knowledge. He worked for 20 years at Pilgrim’s Pride feed mill and retired from Hardy County Sherrff’s Office as a Processor Server after 6 years of service.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple in Rig, WV where he helped in the ministry by teaching and preaching God’s Word. He studied the Bible at length and would share his love for the Lord with anyone who would listen.
Mike, being a “Jack of all trades”, was well known that he could “rig” anything and make it work. He spent his retirement taking his grandchildren hunting and fishing, making precious memories. His grandchildren meant the world to him, and he taught them to always put God first. Mike was an excellent cook, he loved cooking and Nevin his brother loved to eat it!
He will be greatly missed by all his family until they meet again.
Concerning those which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 KJV.
