Mary Elouise Walters

Mary Elouise Walters, age 82 of Southerly Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, November 24, 2012 at her residence. Born June 2, 1930 in Old Fields, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ocie Arnold Leatherman and Elizabeth Martha (Afleck) Leatherman. A homemaker, wife and mother, she was a cook for Hardy County schools and cooked for the Hardy County Commission on Aging. She was a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church. Her husband, Paul A. Walters preceded her in death in September 2012. A daughter, Rita, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Andrew Walters (wife Bonnie) of Moorefield, WV and Mark Walters (wife Kathy) of Petersburg, WV; a brother, Paul H. Leatherman of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Elda Painter & Neva Poling of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren, Andrea, Tiffany, Brittany & Nicholas and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Jay Parkins officiating.
