Martha Rebecca Smith

Martha Rebecca Smith, age 85 of Fisher, WV passed away Wednesday morning, September 15, 2004 at the E.A. Hawse Continuous Care Center in Baker, WV. Born September 10, 1919 in Hardy Co., WV she was a daughter of the late John W. & Amanda (Shockey) Reel. She attended the Rig Assembly of God Church. Her husband Cecil Smith predeceased her in October 1989. An infant son, a grandson, a stepdaughter, three brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death. She was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are five daughters, Helen Crites & Hiawatha Smith of Moorefield, WV and Judy Suder, Eva Paugh and Lisha Runions of Fisher, WV; five stepdaughters, Dorothy Harman of Maysville, WV, Dora Watts of Augusta, WV, Orpha Cowgill of Petersburg, WV, Juanita Trichel of Shreveport, LA and Carmelita Kreiser of Fairbanks, AK; five stepsons, Marshall Smith and Ken Smith of Winchester, VA, Hieskell Smith of Fisher, WV, Evers Smith of Petersburg, WV and James Smith of Sistersville, WV; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She raised two grandsons, Robert ?Beany? Cook and Jeremy Jay Smith. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastors Brad Taylor, Ken Smith & Charles Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at the Woerner Family Cemetery, Fisher, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Friday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield.
