Martha Ann Crider

Martha Ann Crider, age 59 of John C. Crider Road, Purgitsville, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018 at her residence. Born on January 10, 1959 in Harrisonburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Veril Lewis Frazier and Janet Charlotte Kuykendall Frazier. Martha had two passions, her grandchildren that she adored and large animals. She cared and nurtured for numerous animals by operating the Lazy C Large Animal Rescue for many years. Surviving is her husband, Johnnie C. Crider, Jr.; sons and step-sons, Jesse Crider of Ft. Sill, OK, Wilmer Varner of Virginia Beach, VA, Jimmy Varner of Moorefield, WV, Bryan Morrison of Waynesboro, VA, James Crider of Moorefield, WV and Johnnie C. Crider, III of Moorefield, WV; three sisters, Dorothy Garcia of Exchange, WV, Ellen Miller of Lost City, WV and Lena Bowen of Edgewood, TX; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 7:00 PM Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Valley Baptist Church, 9349 SR 259, Mathias, WV with Pastor Dale Smith as Celebrant. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the celebration.
