Marilyn Sue White

Marilyn Sue (Crites) White, age 59 of Old Fields, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, October 31, 2014 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 14, 1955 in Petersburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Webster Crites and the late Violet Arvella (Reel) Crites Schell and Leon Schell of Petersburg, WV. A sister, Rose Miller also preceded her in death. Marilyn taught for 27 years at EACHs Headstart. Children were her passion and she strived to make sure her students were successful. One of her greatest accomplishments was obtaining her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education shortly after her initial diagnosis. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Surviving is her husband of 34 years, Dale White; a son, Chad White and fiancée Sacha Sherman of Old Fields, WV; a brother, David Crites (Barbara Hawkins) of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Blanche Simmons (Garry) of Petersburg, WV and Lisa Mongold (Tim) of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating. Interment will follow at the Maysville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
