Maria Lynn Wratchford

Maria Lynn Wratchford, age 72 of South Elm Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, April 19, 2021 at her residence. Born on September 2, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Chelsea Joseph Fetty and Theresa Elizabeth Barth Fetty. Brothers, Gilbert Fetty, Lawrence Fetty and sisters, Dolores Sitar-Clute, Cherelene Kline also preceded her in death.

Maria was described as a simple person with an uncanny crafty talent to create something of beauty without planning, only just beginning with an idea. She attended the Moorefield Church of the Brethren as the church was particularly important to her.

Surviving is her husband, H.J. Wratchford; two stepchildren, Stephanie (Jay) Vetter of Burlington, NC and Tim (Pamela) Wratchford of Hanover, VA; five step-grandchildren, Brooke, Meredith, Braeden, Alex & Luke; a brother, Melvin Fetty of Shelbyville, DE; numerous nieces and nephews that she truly loved as her own as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

Maria has been cremated and inurnment services will be held at a later date.
