Maria De Encarnacion

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Perez Vargas De Encarnacion, a cherished member of the Moorefield community. Maria, born on February 28, 1985, in Juan De Herrera,  Dominican Republic, left this world on the morning of February 27, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family at her Moorefield residence. Maria was the daughter of the late Francisco Perez and Romelia Vargas and is survived by her devoted husband, Alexis Encarnacion, along with her sons, Isaac Alvarez Perez and Alex J. Encarnacion Perez.

Maria was a dedicated member of the Moorefield Church of God, finding solace and joy in the fellowship of her church community. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted in preparing meals for her family, and her warm smile and kind demeanor brightened the lives of all who knew her. Maria had a passion for gardening, nurturing her cherished roses with care and dedication. Above all else, Maria treasured her role as a loving mother to her children and a supportive partner to her husband.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Maria's life will be held at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, located at 107 Washington Street, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Pastor Donnie Shinholser will lead the service as friends and family gather to pay their respects. Following the service, Maria will be laid to rest at the Olivet Cemetery. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place on Friday evening, March 1, from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. 

In Maria's memory, let us come together in love and support as we bid farewell to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, grace, and unwavering love. Maria's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
