Marguerite Virginia Heavner

Marguerite Virginia Heavner, age 76 of Petersburg, WV passed away Friday evening, August 8, 2014 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. Born July 21, 1938 in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Morris Clay Bennett and Annie Mae Reel Bennett. A son, Gregory Lee VanMeter, a grandson, Matthew VanMeter, a brother, Henry Bennett, a daughter-in-law, Faye VanMeter and two step-sons, Ivern Heavner & Richard Heavner preceded her in death. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of God. Surviving is her husband of 30 years, Lariety Dick Heavner; three sons, Morris F. VanMeter of Cabins, WV, Rickey A. & Rayjeana VanMeter of Cabins, WV and Randy W. & Dorene VanMeter of Cabins, WV; two daughters, Virginia A. & Randall Stump of Moorefield, WV and Lisa & Zach Taylor of Old Fields, WV; a grandson she raised, Dwight T. Lewis, Jr.; a step-daughter, Patricia & Arnold Bergdoll of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Roy June & Beula Bennett of Petersburg, WV and Chester & Brenda Bennett of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Alice Jean & Ralph Walters of Petersburg, WV and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastors Johnny Stump & Jimmy Stump, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
