Maggie Raines Williams, age 93 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, March 24, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born July 5, 1920 in Keezletown, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Raines and Annie Belle (Marshall) Raines. Her husband, Robert E. Williams, preceded her in death in April, 1972. A brother, Joseph P. Raines and a sister, Helen V. Raines also preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Rockingham Memorial School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for over 27 years. Surviving is a son, Robert E. Williams, Jr.(Jackie) of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Jack Raines (Peggy) of McGaheysville, VA and Charles Raines (Agnes) of Keezletown, VA; six sisters, Carrie Morris of Grottoes, VA, Nancy Byrd of Dayton, VA, Mary Sepulveda (Bennie) of Pensacola, FL, Ellen Blose of Penn Laird, VA, Ruth Smith of Harrisonburg, VA and Linda Garber (Edward) of New Market, VA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) until time of services at 2:00 PM. Maggie throughout her life loved medicine, and her ultimate gift was to help others by her donation to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
