Mabel Virginia Evans

Mabel Virginia Evans, age 85 of Metallurgy Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, March 19, 2006, at the Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. Born July 15, 1920 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Amby & Julia (Jenkins) Ours. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and retired in 1996 from Pierce Foods after 41 years of service. Her husband, Aubrey ?Gene? Evans preceded her in death in August 1998; three brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are six sons, Larry Ours of Port Clinton, OH, Doug Evans of Missouri City, TX, Stan Evans of Jacksonville, FL, Robert Evans of Woodstock, GA, Don Evans & Dennis Evans of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Paul Ours of Orlando, FL and Jimmy Ours of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Sally Whetzel of Miami, FL, Gladys Parish & Helen Southerly of Moorefield, WV; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Lynn Rohrbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home. Mrs. Evans will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
